It’s a contradiction, we know… ‘final draft’. But that’s what this is.

The final draft Place Plan for Stranraer.

Now that it’s in its final draft form, Stranraer’s Place Plan is going back out to consultation for a month (till 30 June) so local people can rank priorities before we submit the Plan to Borderlands funders.

This is a formal process that means once everyone has had a chance to comment, it can also be adopted by Dumfries & Galloway Council as part of its Local Planning framework. In future, when anyone wants Planning Permission, their request will be checked against the Place Plan to make sure any change is in keeping with locals’ wishes.

So make sure you have a say in the Place Plan. Go to this short survey now to ‘like it’, rank priorities, have your say.
